A CANTON ENAMEL ‘LANDSCAPE’ DISH, LATE QING TO REPUBLIC China, late Qing dynasty (1644-1912) to Republic period (1912-1949). The shallow rounded sides rising from a short ring foot to an everted rim, the copper body painted in bright enamels to the interior with a landscape showing various trees, houses, craggy rockwork, and figures, with mountains in the background, all framed by a ruyi-head border, the sides painted with a floral band, the exterior enameled lime-green.
