A FINE CLOISONNÉ BOX WITH DRAGON AND CLOUDS
China, late Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). Of circular form raised on a ring foot, finely enameled to the exterior in red and blue tones with a central coiled dragon amid clouds and crashing waves. The rims, underside and interior revealing the gilt copper body.
Condition: Very good condition with wear and manufacturing flaws, such as pitting. Some minor nicks and scratches.
Provenance: English private collection. By repute acquired at Nagel Auctions in 2013.
