A SOLID CLOISONNE ENAMEL TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER

A SOLID CLOISONNE ENAMEL TRIPOD INCENSE BURNER China, Qing Dynasty (1644-1912). The cylindrical gilt-copper body, sturdily cast in circular form, raised on three ruyi-shaped feet to an everted rim, flanked by a pair of slightly S-shaped handles, brightly enameled at the outer wall with a scrolling multi-colored lotus pattern and a ruyi-shape band against a blue of Jingtai ground, the base and the rim gilt. With an apocryphal six-character reign mark Da Ming Xuande Nian Zhi to the underside. Condition: Wear, touch ups and losses to the enamel, traces of wear and use, reparations to both handles, otherwise fine condition.
