A PAIR OF TWO SMALL TIBETIAN RITUAL CYMBALS Tibet, 19th century. The two sacred cymybals (rol-mo) of thick, cast brass and embossed, with an organic fabric string threaded through a hole in the middle of the instruments. Cymbals are used as ritual music accompaniment by Tibetan Buddhist monks, ‘lamas’ and producing a full, pleasing resonance tone when coming together. Condition: Very good condition with usual traces of wear and age. Provenance: Hungarian private collection. According to the current owner acquired from a private collector in France.
