A GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH STAND

A GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER WITH STAND China, around 1900. Of compressed globular form, supported on three short conical feet and flanked by two archaistic loop handles. The base with an apocryphal Xuande mark within a recessed rectangle. With a matching lobed floral stand in the form of overlapping petals supported on three feet. Condition: Shows wear and surface scratches, some casting irregularities such as a fissure to the body. Few small nicks and dents here and there. Provenance: German private collection, by repute acquired from Bruun Rasmussen.
