ITALIAN SCHOOL Second half of the 16th century: Man in toga with right hand on a book, left foot on a sea monster. Pen, brown ink and brown wash (Small bends and stains); On the reverse: Study of a man, torso and drape, in red chalk (stains). Annotated in black stone on the left side; numbered lower right. H. 28 W. 18,3 cm. Provenance: Hans Goltz (1873 1927), Munich art dealer, according to the inscription in black stone on the reverse, with a date 29. IV. 1927.
