"BATOUALA" illustrated by Alexandre IACOVLEFF, work of René Maran: this copy must have been that of a collaborator, indeed it does not have a title page (it does not seem to have been detached), is well published by Mornay (watermark), on Rives vellum like the 350 first copies (watermark), is stapled with the illustrated cover filled. It is a partly original edition of 1928, with a preface of 8 pages and a text of 170 pages. It is illustrated with about sixty illustrations and headbands by Iacovleff. A very rare work, presented as is, without its illustrations (cover with a tear and soiled, some foxing inside)
