Mahogany veneer and speckled mahogany desk regulator, glazed on four sides. Circular silvered dial with Roman numerals, central second hand (missing), signed LEPAUTE & Fils Hrs du Roi. Front with caryatids, vestals and flowery friezes in patinated bronze. Movement signed LEPAUTE, numbered and dated February 1829 (numbered 9281 + ) Compensated balance with temperature indication according to Réaumur. Restoration period H. 48 cm W. 29,5 cm D. 20 cm (accidents to the glass) LEPAUTE et Fils, company name of Jean-Joseph and Pierre-Michel since 1811. Famous house of watchmakers active since the 18th century. They worked in particular under the Empire and delivered castles, residences of the Empire, like the Palace of Luxembourg.
