KOTA (Gabon) Embolized helmet mask from the Ivindo basin. Characterized by eyes pierced in a rectangle hidden under protruding upper eyelids. This refined face is topped by a large sagittal crest, straight and vertical on the front and curved on the back, colored red and crossed with two drooping lateral braids. The face is coated with kaolin, and a tuft of feathers is attached to the top of the crest. The light wood, relatively light, shows traces of use.
