A veneered violet wood writing table, the top tilting to form a writing desk, the side panels revealing compartments, the belt opening to a drawer, resting on scalloped legs. Louis XV period, mid 18th century, stamped by Migeon, Pierre Migeon II received master on September 5, 1758. It bears fire marks: ML (for Marie-Louise de Parme) and inventory numbers GRC 1231 (accidents to the veneer). H_73 cm W_80 cm D_40 cm Probably from Colorno which was the summer residence of Louise- Elisabeth, duchess of Parma (1727-1759), eldest daughter of Louis XV, who married in 1739 the Spanish infant Don Philippe. Next to the inventory numbers, the letters CR crowned for "Casa Reale" : this mark generally appears on objects that stayed in Colorno.
