France - Order of the Legion of Honour, grand officer's set comprising : the officer's star in gilt and enamel, boar's head hallmark, ribbon with rosette (missing the centre of the reverse, chips) ; the silver plaque, centre in three parts, hallmark of the Arthus-Bertrand company and boar's head, fastened by a rocking pin and two side hooks ; in the original case signed Arthus-Bertrand, the cover stamped R.F. With the patent dated October 38, 1952 and the authorization to wear. The jewel : 58 x 40 mm - The plate : 94 mm France, mid 20th century. Note that the star and the plate are still of the type known as "IIIe République", however modified since the decree of February 27, 1951 which removed the date 1870 in the legend. VF and TTB
