Tunisia - Order of Nichan al Iftikhar, founded around 1835, set of grand-crosses with the figure of Mohammed es Sadok Bey (1859-1882), including the jewel and the silver plate chased in openwork diamond points, the star (tiny chip) and the enamelled centre, fixing by rocking pin and two side hooks, punch of the Mint of Bardo, complete scarf, with the patent of appointment entirely handwritten on gilded paper on edge, dated 1277 (1861) with the seal of the Bey in ink (40 x 27 cm). The jewel : 80 x 60 mm - The plate : 77 mm Tunisia, third quarter of the 19th century. General Charles Auguste Frossard (1807-1875), poly-technician, he integrates the engineering and participates in the sieges of Rome in 1849 and Sebastopol in 1855, brigadier general in 1855, he takes part in the Italian campaign of 1859 with the rank of divisional officer and as head of the engineering, Grand Officer of the Legion of Honour in 1859, he received the Military Medal in 1867, the same year he was appointed aide-de-camp to the Emperor and governor of the Imperial Prince, during the 1870 war he commanded the 2nd corps and took part in the battles of Forbach and Mars-la-Tour, and the siege of Metz.
