Studio Peyo/Eric Closter/Original drawing of an advertising poster for the annual market/kermesse of the Westland Shopping center in Anderlecht. Nice quality of execution in the purest style of Peyo. Graphite and India ink circa 1985. Signed. Rare. TBE+. 28 X 35 cm Provenance: Entourage of the artist. Eric Closter studied Fine Arts at Châtelet and started his career at Studio Peyo in the 1980s and 1990s. He drew the 'Smurfs' and was responsible for some of the stories in Peyo's classic story 'Pierrot et la Lampe' in 1991. He also drew new gags of 'Poussy' for the Smurf magazine in 1990. Closters also drew Benoît brisefer and the children's comic 'Laser et Pepin - L'Étrange petit Laser' for Soleil in 1990. Then Casimir, Erik le chétif, 3 enfants débrouillards and Clairon l'éléphant. He also worked on 2 albums of Marsupilami. His grandfather was the comic artist Jean Closter.
