Gérald Forton

Gérald Forton began his career at Spirou in 1952 and drew, like any self-respecting realist cartoonist, a few Belles Histoires de l'Oncle Paul. After drawing for the newspaper Tintin, he took over the drawing of Bob Morane's adventures in 1962 and drew fourteen episodes published in Femmes d'Aujourd'hui, Pilote and Het Laatste Niews. For more than 20 years, Gérald Forton has been drawing storyboards for music videos, commercials, animated cartoons (Toy Story) and feature films (Coyote Ugly, Ali, etc.). Not limiting himself to a specific genre, he does historical as well as adventure, western or SF. His realistic style and his energetic pencil stroke were very well suited to Bob Morane of which he created some of the best adventures.
