Crisse/Nahomi. Original plate n°2 of the 1st volume of the album "Les noisettes magiques" illustrating Nahomi and her friend Panda. Work of youth to the delicious charm. India ink around 1980. Signed, dedicated and dated 1984. Rare. TBE. 48 X 36 cm Didier Chrispeels alias Crisse made his first steps in the Journal "Tintin" in 1980 when he created Nahomi; a young Japanese princess who, thanks to her magic nuts, deceives the boredom of her castle and grants all wishes. Crisse began his career by drawing on canvas in Lyon at the age of eighteen. Then followed a career in comics with Ocean's King for Spirou magazine in 1979 and Nahomi, a Japanese princess for Tintin in 1980. At the end of the 80's he realized the dyptic on the Russian revolution "The shadows of the past" where his particular style will develop further. He moved to France and started the heroic fantasy series "L'Épée de Cristal" in collaboration with Jacky Goupil. This series is a great success and becomes a reference of the genre. He is then recruited by the Éditions Soleil, for which he draws several successful series, in particular "Kookaburra" and "Atalante".
