Whistle figurine, Ecuador, Guangala culture , (Manabí province, northwestern coastal region ), ca 300-500 A.D., fire clay. Condition: small chipping above the nose and behind the right ear, otherwise very good. The lower part is blackened as if from soot marks or dirty hands. Functional, h 18 cm, with copy of the thermoluminescence certificate no. 409206 from the "Labor für Fälschungserkennung", Haigerloch, Ralf Kotalla, from 8.9.1993 Provenance: Collection August Maurer Switzerland, auction Vogler 2015, private collection, Germany.
