The rectangular corpus with bevelled edges has two doors, each door with high rectangular black fonded picture cartouches with chinoiserie gold lacquer painting on a black background, depicting figural scenes in the midst of architecture. Between the doors smaller chinoiserie cartouche hanging from a Louis XVI loop. The rest of the body inlaid with contrasting pseudo fluting and the top slightly overhanging following the features of the furniture, marquetry with mirror veneer and partially stained woods, and hinged to the back and sides.
