Description

TOULON 1737Silver oil and vinegar cruet , complete with its grid and its stoppers (later glass decanters). Of basin form, resting on four feet with flowered scrolls, the body is engraved chiselled on a background of foliage and flowers framing birds turned to the left. Two medallions on either side, one is engraved with a coat of arms, the second with a mascaron. The border is moulded with gadroons on the stoppers ending with seeds in plume. Two side handles in cast silver form double braces.
