Exceptional and rare sloping traveller's writing case opening to a drawer in front, the wooden body lacquered with gilded naturalistic motifs on a black background. It is inlaid on all sides with six large plaques painted in enamels on copper, landscape scenes treated in enamels of the pink family with lake and mountain subjects.
