The box is belted with gold finely chased with floral motifs on the lid the lid, the bottom and the frame covered with varnish of yellow, white and and red lines, on the lid a miniature enamel painting under glass under glass representing a young woman delicately adorned with silk the whole surrounded by four enamel cartouches representing a little a little girl in Persian and a little boy with a turban in a landscape with an exotic background, a still life and the attributes of music, between each cartouche a motif of floral arabesques. Unreadable hallmarks, probably Hanau, end of 18th century Diameter: 8 cm Height: 3 cm Weight: 85 gr Small damages to the varnish, small dents to the gold ring and small residues on the miniature. Slight lifting of the scale on the inside.
