AN IMPERIAL YELLOW GLAZED CERAMIC 'DRAGON' TILE, DISHUI China, Ming dynasty, Yongle period Polylobed profile, on the upper surface a relief decoration of a flying five-clawed dragon. 15 x 29,5 x 6 cm Provenance: Italian private collection. This rare tile most likely comes from the roof of one of the buildings in the Forbidden City in Beijing, and was therefore intended for the emperor and his court.
