Jusepe de RIBERA (Jativa 1588 - Naples 1656) Saint Peter repenting Canvas Signed and dated lower left : " Jusepe de Ribera espanol F/ 1638". Height : 76 cm Width : 64 cm Original frame in molded and gilded wood, Italian work of the 17th century. Provenance: - Collection of Cardinal Flavio Chigi (1631-1693) as indicated by a wax stamp present on a fragment of the original frame which will be given to the buyer. - Collection Blaise Léon Rochette de Lempdes (1809 - 1876); - Then by descent until today.
