Ebony and carved varnished wood enhanced with lacquer and silver leaf (a few holes caused by wood-eating insects).
Signed, dedicated "To my beloved friend Jean" and dated 1928.

History: Jean Henri-Labourdette was an important Parisian coachbuilder, he and his wife had commissioned Jean Dunand to make their lacquered salon at the end of the 1920's.
