Henry Matthews - A Schild & Co Art Deco sterling silver and enamels table clock Birmingham, 1931 Height x width x depth: 10.1 x 11.4 x 2.4 cm. Weight: 372.2 g. Oval case in sterling silver with guilloché enamels in shades of pink, white dial with Arabic numerals and black hour markers, featuring the inscriptions "8 Days - Swiss Made." Fully hallmarked Birmingham 1931-1932, silversmith Henry Matthews. On the back, the inscription "Olive" and on the brass case "Two 2 Adjustments - Six 6 Jewels - Swiss - Schild C." Henry Matthews was a renowned British silversmith, active primarily in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His business was based in Birmingham, an important center for silver craftsmanship and other precious metals. Item condition grading: **** good. White dial with Arabic numerals and black hour markers, featuring the inscriptions "8 Days - Swiss Made." Fully hallmarked Birmingham 1913-1914, silversmith Henry Clifford Davis. Winding and time setting with a key. Henry Clifford Davis was a British silversmith based in Birmingham, active from 1912 to 1927. Known for his high-quality craftsmanship, he operated under his own name and was recognized for his distinctive hallmarks. Item condition grading: **** good.
