Description
A Ryûkyû lacquer and inlaid mother-of-pearl stand. 18th/19th century On four cabriole legs rising from a lobed flat socle, with a curved shoulder and a lobed table top, all covered by a brownish lacquer. The table top displaying figures on a terrace in a landscape, on the shoulder cartouches filled with figures and reserved from a pattern of interlocking circles, the base with two deer underneath a willow. Crack through the table top.
