A Tibetan thangka of Amithaba in Sukhavati Heaven. 19th century The Buddha of Immeasurable Light appears at the centre in front of a grand palace, flanked by the white Avalokiteshvara, the blue Vajrapani and by celestial musicians, in a small pond in front of Amitabha´s throne two beings are reborn from a lotus blossom in to the pureland, the background landscape filled with Buddhas and offering goddesses holding auspicious banners at the top and with various figures within a series of pavilions below.
