Abderrahmane Ouardane (né en 1947, Casablanca)

Aerial on relief Mixed media on canvas 120x120cm Abderrahmane OUARDANE, born in 1947 in Morocco, lives in Casablanca and works between Morocco and France. His friendships with the students of the effervescent academy of Fine Arts "the School of Casablanca" which brings together the trans-Mediterranean modernists such as BELKAHIA, MELIHI, CHABAA, allowed him to sharpen extremely rich creative experiences always in a spirit of renewal. During the 70s, at the Ateliers des Beaux-Arts THUR in Paris, Abderrahmane OUARDANE learns to draw the human body. He devoted his first exhibitions to the theme of the nude. At the turn of the 80s, back in Morocco, his spiritual retreats in the High Atlas Amazigh, represent a decisive step in the evolution of his work. He evolves towards abstract lines. His art draws its source in the immaterial heritage in a context of mutations between historical past and present or futuristic reality, oscillating according to the consistency of the energies which cross it, that they are social, political, poetic.
