Gamikos lebes with red figures and white highlights, with a lid with a bulging knob decorated with a corolla of petals and a frieze of double hatching and pointed circles on the rim. These vases, presented on a two-step flared foot, were used to hold the ritual water for the wedding and offered to the bride on that day. The wedding was the occasion for three days of celebration, the day before, proteleia, the wedding itself: gamos and the day after: epaulia Decoration of palmettes framed by crosses with 4 protuberances in the center of volutes, on the neck. Palmettes under the vertical handles in bridge with prominence at the top. Side A: Winged genie, seated on a pile of three rocks, holding a large double phiale to the right, serpentine ball below. He is wearing a bun surrounded by a cecryphale, adorned with a choker and bracelets, his right hand resting on a rock. He is wearing lace-up sandals, and a line of ground is represented by white dots. This genie can be identified with Eros in this context of marriage. Side B: Dancing Maenad, holding a branch with a long central spike framed by volutes on a high stem on the right and a tambourine on the left. She is adorned with a necklace and double bracelets, wearing sandals and a peplum that is tight around the waist and bloused. Bandage in the field.
