TABLE DE SALON inlaid with rosewood in amaranth frames underlined by boxwood fillets; rectangular in shape, it opens with three drawers and rests on cambered legs. Stamped by J.B. Galet Louis XV period (restoration of use). Recessed red marble top. Ornamentation of chased and gilded bronze. H : 71 - W : 42,5 - D : 30 cm. Jean-Baptiste GALET received master cabinetmaker in Paris on May 13, 1754. The "Almanach général des Marchands du Royaume" quoted him, towards the end of the reign of Louis XV, as one of the main cabinetmakers of the capital.
