Rare FERAHAN carpet woven in the famous workshop of the Master weaver MUSTAHAFIE (Persia), end of the 19th century Dimensions : 195 x 120cm Technical characteristics : Wool velvet on a cotton foundation. A midnight blue field, framed by four small ivory spandrels, hosts a multitude of polychrome flowery ramifications. Three counter borders, two of which are pearl grey with flowers, enclose the main pistachio-coloured floral scrolls. Signed and dated in an ivory box.
