Kampanischer rotfiguriger Glockenkrater des Nicholson-Malers.

Campanian red-figure bell krater of the Nicholson Painter. Cumae B, 330 - 320 B.C. On side A a youth sitting like Herakles on a lion-skin between two women, the left one is holding a shield in reference to Athena, the protectress of Herakles. On side B a woman with mirror between two draped youths. Reassembled from fragments, several missing parts especially at stem and foot are restored and retouched. Attributed by A. D. Trendall!
