Published prints after Jan Brueghel I. --- Gillis Claesz. d'Hondecoeter (1575-1638), Painter of Flemish origin, mainly active in Utrecht and Amsterdam. His father Nicolaes Jansz fled from Antwerp to Delft around 1585. Father of Gijsbert d'Hondecoeter and grandfather of Melchior d'Hondecoeter and Jan Weenix.
