Peter leaves his fishing boat and goes to him. The print is part of an eight-part series of landscapes depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments, drawn by Hans Bol and engraved by Joan Sadeler (H. 565-572) / Dimensions: 20,70 x 27,00 cm Excellent impression with good plate tone with full plate border, blank tekst line and margins on a laid paper sheet. Hans Bol (printmaker; painter/draughtsman; Flemish; Dutch; 1534 - 1593) Painter and etcher, active in Mechelen, Heidelberg, Mons, Antwerp, Bergen op Zoom, Dordrecht, Delft and Amsterdam. Born in Mechelen, moved to Antwerp in 1572 and to the Nothern Netherlands in 1584 after religious persecutions. He died in Amsterdam. Master of Frans Boel and Jacob Savery.
