Jacques Callot (1592-1635) - La Noblesse, Woman with hands in a muff / Description: Standing woman in profile to right, with long veil falling down her back, and with hands in muff; funeral scene in the background. La Noblesse is a series of twelve etchings showing the constumes of lords and ladies of Lorraine from the time of callot. Bouchot wrote that callot and his friends parade. M. Bruaert wrote 'of the family of Callot' and Lieure confirms it is almost certain that Callot included himself, his wife, his older brother and his sister in the series. / Dimensions: 14,40 x 9,20 cm Good impression on thick laid paper with full plate border and good margins.
