Jansenist havana morocco, spine ribbed, lining and endpaper in green moire, gilt head, original illustrated cover preserved, matching slipcase (Ad. Lavaux).
Limited edition of 198 numbered copies. This one is one of the 10 chapel copies, printed on Rives vellum and marked "exemplaire d'artiste". Nominative copy, printed for Félix M. Portal, bearing the letter 'H'.
It is enriched with:
- two decompositions (pp. 107 and 320);
- a mock-up for pages 17 and 20 with an original initial used for printing;
- subscription bulletins and prospectuses;
- an original drawing bound in at the head which served as an illustration for page 95 (mounted on a sheet accompanied by a double dispatch by the author and the artist);
- an autograph letter from the artist;
- some loose illustrations and illustrated menus by Margat inserted at the beginning of the volume.
A fine copy, well preserved.
