Post-Impressionist painter of landscapes of his region, he became famous for his superb seascapes painted in particular on the coasts and in the ports of the Bouches-du-Rhône as well as in the Var, but also for his animated views of Paris. He would be the son of Charles Malfroy, born in 1862 and with whom he is sometimes confused. Henry Malfroy exhibited regularly in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Français and the Salon des Indépendants.
