French painter and sculptor born in Briatexte in the Tarn and died in Echirolles in the Isère, he was also a writer in his spare time. Escribe began his studies in Toulouse before perfecting his skills at the Beaux-Arts in Paris. His painting is bucolic, full of fullness and the characters and animals are captured in the vigorous strength of the gestures of work.
