A baluster-shaped ceramic vessel with siliceous paste painted in manganese and cobalt, under a transparent glaze. Visible chips and missing pieces.

Medieval production during the Mamluk dynasty was strongly influenced by trade with China, which passed through Iran. Thus this white/blue decoration directly evokes the porcelains of the Yuwan and Ying period.
