BATAILLE Pierre (1935/2018). "The Armada". A carved oak panel, signed and dated 1988. Height. Height : 59 cm. Length: 250 cm. History: Passionate about maritime expeditions, Pierre Bataille designed in 1985 a series of panels telling in detail the epic of the invincible Armada. He carved only one panel showing the gathering and departure of the fleet. In the center the blessing and presentation of the armada to King Philip II. Exhibitions: Felicity, USA, Los Angeles in 1991.
