Gerhard Richter (Dresden/Dresda 1932)

Gerhard Richter exhibited on several occasions in the Lucio Amelio Gallery in Naples: from May to June 1976 with the exhibition "The tourist - four paintings by Gerhard Richter" and in May 1983 with an exhibition of 28 abstract paintings including the large painting " Static "(200 x 320 cm), later merged into the Terrae Motus collection now preserved in the Royal Palace of Caserta. Gerhard Richter also created a pencil portrait of Lucio Amelio taken from a photograph that portrayed the great Neapolitan gallery owner with the artist Nino Longobardi. the Photography is present in the Atlas of the German artist (plate 526) preserved in the "Städtische Galerie im Lenbachhaus und Kunstbau Münc [1] hen", in Munich. The project for a 4-page catalog presented here probably refers to the preparation of the 1983 exhibition in which the 28 abstract paintings were presented. It is not known whether it was actually realized
