Sculpture representing a woman sitting cross-legged, carrying a child on her legs. The top of the woman's skull is marked by a deep slit. The eyebrows are finely arched. The almond-shaped eyes are hollowed out and animated with black paint. The nose is aquiline. The open mouth reveals the black painted teeth. The ears are prominent and adorned with circular curls. Body paint, based on chapopote, has been ritually applied to the cheeks and above the upper lip to symbolize fertility. The shoulders are broad. The left wrist is placed on the knee and supports the child's neck. The right arm is folded, the hand directed towards the child in a protective gesture. The fingers and nails of the hands and feet are clearly drawn. The woman is wearing a skirt that rises up under her bare chest. She is carrying a little girl on her left leg, also wearing a skirt. Her headdress is made up of two pigtails, painted black, and she is adorned with a necklace with a central medallion and large circular earrings. Firing holes are visible at the nape of the neck, behind each arm and in the hollow of each of the woman's ears. Beige hollow clay with traces of tar.
