Careful copy of 16 letters between 10/12/1928 and 20/5/1929, and of some texts. Letters to Paul Nougé (6), "Monsieur", Jean Paulhan, Joe Bousquet, Paul Éluard, André Breton (2) and Roger Allard + 3 from Nougé to Goemans. Interesting correspondence, unpublished, revolving around a quarrel between Goemans and Mesens, the relations which are tense between Nougé and Goemans, the review "Distances" (created by Goemans, Nougé and Magritte, 3 issues in 1928), the book that Goemans is to publish with Magritte, etc. Poetic texts: "Les deux statues", "L'automate", "La pierre volée", "L'étrangère", "L'escalier sans marche", "L'apparition", "Le somnanbule", "La forme du feu".
