Settled in Paris in 1925, the Belgian Camille Goemans (1900-1960) played an important role as a mediator between the Belgian and French Surrealists. In 1927 he opened his own gallery in Paris, where he exhibited works by Arp, Dalí, Tanguy and Magritte, among others; he also worked in Brussels with Geert Van Bruaene. Prov.
