Henry DASSON (1825-1896) A bronze, ebony and engraved brass marquetry Venus hanged after André-Charles Boulle, the figure of Venus resting on a shell brandishing a wreath, flanked by a love holding a bow and arrow, the dial with enamelled cartouches with Roman numerals Signed Henry Dasson, dated 1884. H. 83 cm. (slight lifting of the brass fillets and missing veneer on the base). Ref.
