Here, on a purple background, a young woman stands out, three-quarter length. Her brown hair is carefully held in a bun. Her face is slightly tilted, in a meditative attitude. Her brown eyes are almost golden, her lips closed and carmine. She is dressed in green. Peaceful, silent and pensive, she is collected. A subtle play of light and shadow brushes against her in a symbolist atmosphere of dawn or twilight. It is similar to the pastels of the same period kept by the Marcel-Lenoir Museum. Portrait exhibited at the Marcel-Lenoir Museum during the exhibition on portraiture and reproduced in the catalogue in 2011.
