In 2003, he founded the Ustinov Institute in Vienna, with the aim of creating international universities that bring together knowledge of different cultures. He received numerous awards and trophies for his work and his commitment to defending students around the world. He died at the age of 82, in the village of Bursins in the Swiss canton of Vaud, on Monday March 29, 2004.
