Afrika,Venavi Statue, in Togo oder Ghana Ewe Stil
H. 32 cm. Kneeling twin figure on round base, with a nice softly shaped head and facial features, wearing a cloak densely covered with cowries. Heavy wood with dark brown to black crust, in some places with white and brown bird plum. Base of base with insect frass, crust rubbed off in a few places, one crack on head, one cowrie missing. Formerly collection of Heinrich Görtz. (180)
