Bronze rest-gilt Nepal , 18th century Weight: 4729 grams Dimensions: 32 x 10 x 9 cm Provenance: The estates of sculptor Olen Bryant and late Vanderbilt University art professor Thomas Brumbaugh , Clarksville / Cottontown , Tennessee , USA Statue of a standing man on a rectangular surface with his hands joined in front of his chest in an honouring gesture. Dressed in a wide robe fastened around the waist with a belt also carrying a knife. The man is gazing straight ahead with a wishful smile and open eyes, a portruding dot on the forehead. A round hat covers the short hair.
