Amitayus is also sometimes referred to as Amithaba Buddha even though they are slightly different.
Here he is seated in dhyanasana pose with his hands folded in each other holding an ornamented vessel, the vessel of longevity.
Amitayus is depicted with fine clothing and jewels whereas Amithaba is usually appears as a monk in simple robes.
He is seated on a double reverse lotus base and calm in meditation. A thin scarf is billowing around his shoulders, his hair is done up in a chignon decorated with chains and ornaments.
