De evangelica praeparatione, Libri XIIII Cologne, Hero Alopecius, 1539. In-4 (310 x 210 mm), [4]-99 ff. in Latin. Full brown calf, framed with large cold-stamped roulettes on the boards, spine ribbed (period binding).
Latin edition in the translation of Georgius Trapezuntius. A fine copy in an elegant cold-stamped contemporary binding. Some handwritten marginal annotations in Latin, in brown ink.
PROVENANCE Libraries of Daniel Appia; of Robert de Billy; and a third unidentified (bookplates pasted on the flyleaf).
